Do you live in Leeds and suffering from heel pain?
Heel pain is a term that is often used to describe pain in and around the heel. Usual symptoms are often pain when standing for long periods, walking, as well as getting out of bed.. Commonly the pain is there as soon as you put your foot down on the ground in the morning but can go off after a few minutes, and can then come back later in the day depending on activities such as standing or walking.
Pain is generally present in the heel or in the arch area and sometimes affects the big toe.
There are many causes of pain in the heel and the most common are, plantar fasciitis (acute – just started), plantar fasciopathy (chronic – it has been there for a while) Achilles tendinosis, Achilles tendinopathy, Achilles tendonitis, Distal tarsal tunnel syndrome, Baxters nerve entrapment, Calcaneal stress fracture, Calcaneal cysts, Abductor hallucis tendinopathy and Fat pad contusion.
Our first consultation we will give you a thorough assessment of the heel pain to find the cause of your problem and treat it efficiently. If necessary, make a plan for how we can get you pain-free as soon as possible.
We have also invested in advanced technology – Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) – to help treat persistent problems in the foot and ankle. Shockwave Therapy provides pain relief, has an anti-inflammatory effect and stimulates tissue regeneration for fast and effective results with heel pain.
